Liquor of basil


  • 30 leaves of basil
  • 300 gr of sugar
  • 3 dl of alcool
  • 3 dl of water


Clean the leaves of basil (that should be picked up early in the mourning) with a cloth without wet them: put them in a jar; add the alcool, close the jar carefully and let the leaves marinate for 20 days.

Every 2 days shake the jar for a couple of minutes.

At the end of the period of maceration, make the sugar dissolve in the water, making the mixture boiling for a few minutes.

Let it cool down and when it will be tepid, added it to the leaves and to the alcool in the pot.

Close it again and let it stand for 24 hours, then filter it all and bottle it in a nice transparent bottle so you can see the beautiful green colour of the liqueur.
